Today we had our last breakfast on the TUI Isla then headed to our hotel in Amsterdam, and off to Kuekenhof to see the Tulips. Wow! Just Wow!

Our hotel, Hotel Prinsenhof, is on one of the canals in the city center in an old, old building. It was built in 1607 and has been a hotel since the 1980s and before that was an antique store with apartments above.

Thank goodness for our taxi driver! He took our bags up the incredibly steep steps into our hotel.

On the way out to Keukenhof we saw some really interesting buildings!

When we got to Lisse we got our first glimpses of the tulip fields.

The tulips at Keukenhof were just amazing! The gardens are open for two months of the year and are replanted each year with 7 million bulbs.

This year is Keukenhof’s 75th anniversary.

These orange tulips were huge!

There were a few tulip fields that you could see from the gardens.

There were so many different varieties of tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths throughout the gardens.

Then it was back to the bus to take us back to Amsterdam, tired feet and all. Lots of strolling and standing to admire the flowers. Keukenhof gardens is a sight not to be missed if you are in the Netherlands in the springtime.
We explored the neighborhood close to our hotel to find a place for dinner and found a tiny Italian restaurant with fresh hand made pasta. It was delicious!

Ray and I have never been there when the tulips were blooming but I hope we will sometime. We both love tulips but can't grow them here because the moles eat every bulb!
I agree - Wow, just wow! J must have been in her element at the gardens. Your photos were fabulous.
